Today it snowed in Soho! The snow was falling as though someone was dumping it from a bag in heaven. The backdrop of the brick buildings across the street defined each snow flake. It was great- the little things in life- right! We have huge windows in the store that overlook the rough street below us. Its a cobblestone one way street and you can hear the cars hit the potholes throughout the day. I wonder why anyone even drives on them.
I love daydreaming out the third floor windows, looking out into the lofts across the way...dreaming about what it would be like to live in one. The design is so "New York" as I would put it- small but surrounded by everything you love. What more could you ask for!?! Its a great location- but quite pricey. I found out the other day- that one sold for over 7 million dollars about a year ago and it probably doesn't have much over 1,000 sq feet. You could buy a huge mansion in Atlanta for that!
On a funny note...
After work we unknowingly ate at a sushi restaurant that had live opera every Wednesday night. It makes me laugh thinking about it- I wish I could video tape everyday for you. It was like karaoke for opera singers- they were all great- just a random combination. I had my spicy tuna roll and then listened to opera. Only in NYC!
You never know what to expect- life has proven that to me lately! Smile in the moments when life is not one bit what you would have ever dreamed. I am so grateful for this path I am on and looking forward to what is ahead!
